The founder of Asnam was Atiqua Azad. He was a know for his indifference to human suffering. He was also a slave trader for over 300 years. After a close call with a storm that almost destroyed him, he swore off the Americas and was initiated into the Circle of the crone. Azad found his way to Tibet where he encounters a Goddess. At this point there are several myths on how the meeting took place.
