Likened to the fallen angels of the old testament, the Annunaku are the sky gods of old who took over the earth as the Lords of the Land in Mesopotamian myth. Annunaku feel a very strong connection to the land, and more specifically the land they claim as their own. It is this bloodline of kindred who originally taught the mortals how to till the land and make it useful. Once great feudal lords of pasture and farmland, Annunaku became city builders and cosmopolitan with the advent of civilization. Though some of these leaders of man still guard rural or even wilderness area, the vast majority of them claim territory within cities.
